Life IS pain, Highness. Anyone who says differently is tyring to sell you something.

Name the character, actor and movie.

So...what is it that the American culture is trying to sell me?

What is the "church" trying to sell me?

I could cheat and look it up, but I won't. I like the quote. Reminds me of the annoying salesman on the phone the other day - all sunshine and smiles, but I knew the company he worked for was a sham, 'cause I'd looked it up online before.

Anywho. I don't know what the "church" is trying to sell you, but I think our culture is trying to sell us a lot of stuff. Mostly, I think it's the idea that we're okay on our own, and we should be able to be happy. What do you think?

jen...yes...so many times i see how our culture is about individuality to the point of eliminating community. it is very sad. also, yeah, why should i be happy all of the time?! haha! being happy is not all it is cracked up to be. yet i guess it depends on what you are basing your happiness.

colleen...kudos to you! it is the princess bride. one of THE best movies. ever. ;-)
