Think of me, think of me fondly when we've said good-bye

Ok, so, it has been a while since I have posted.....AGAIN. Well, I've been busy and somewhat uninspired to write or maybe unwilling. Hmmm. Oh, well. What can I say? Things are good here in Split. It snowed again! :) This past Tuesday morning my friend called me and told me to look outside. It was like a blizzard out there! It snowed about 2 inches. :) It was beautiful, but short-lived because by the end of the day most of it was melted. :( Nevermind that....i got a picture of the blizzard from my living room window. When I get those pics developed, I will have to try to remember to post that pic on here so you can see for yourself. What else......oh, on Wednesday night, I went to see the Phantom of the Opera movie with my roomie and two other friends. It was great!! The music really takes me back to high school cuz I had several friends who had the soundtrack to the musical so we would sometimes listen to it. The movie was cool...the sets, the costumes and the singing were amazing. I loved the way they used the black and white scenes and the color flashbacks....what creative cinematography! Definately want to see it again sometime. :)

My croatian class is going well. Sometimes it is a bit technical, but today one of our teachers asked us at the end of class if we understood everything. We told her it was a lot of information and next time we needed to do some practices as we learn something. Sometimes you can learn the rule or theory, but have no idea how to actually say what you need to say. So, it was good and she was happy to have the feedback because this is the first time she has taught croatian to foreigners.

Oh, how could I forget?! Jen and I are getting a new roommate. :) Her name is Kristin and she is from Tucson, Arizona. She will be here for about five months. Actually, she was supposed to arrive today, but they wouldn't let her on the airplane in the states cuz she did not have a return ticket. So, we are awaiting word on when she will be arriving. I hope it all works out. Hmmm....this is interesting because when I came to Croatia, I came on a one-way ticket and now when I go back I get a round trip ticket from here to the US and back (so, therefore, I would not have a return ticket back to the states). It hasn't been a problem for me. Hmmm....what airline did she fly? Is that a new rule or were they just being difficult? Well, we'll see when she gets here....

Ok, that is all for today. :)
